Whitechapel Gallery

After more than a century of exhibiting work by some of Britain's most prolific artists, the Whitechapel Gallery underwent a major expansion and renovation project to incorporate the neighbouring former Whitechapel Library, doubling the size of the gallery space The two-year reconstruction project was completed in April 2009.

We were asked by Whitechapel Gallery to document the construction process during the project, consisting of panoramic photographs of the main galleries before, during and after the reconstruction. We designed and built an interactive microsite featuring panoramic photographs, which allows users to navigate through the space, inviting them to see the usually concealed process of construction.
